Common issues

Input Monitoring permission

Argus needs Input Monitoring to detect keyboard and mouse activity while armed.

1. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Input Monitoring
2. Enable the toggle for Argus
3. If macOS prompts you to quit and reopen, do so

If Argus does not appear in the list, launch Argus and use Allow Input Monitoring during onboarding or from the menu bar permission window.

The alarm did not sound

• Confirm Input Monitoring is granted and you have quit/reopened Argus after enabling it
• Check that the relevant sensors are enabled in Settings
• Charger disconnect and lid close are hard triggers - they skip the grace period
