Goals & public accountability

Inspired by Matthew Dicks in Someday is Today, I want to start posting my goals publicly to hold myself accountable. I'll repost my goals monthly, along with the progress so far. The goal list is quite extensive. My thought process is that I should be able to accomplish at least 75% of it. If I'm closer to 100%, I'll add more; if it's not going so well, I'll adjust it accordingly.

All goals must be:

  • empirically measurable
  • have a deadline defined
  • only dependent on myself (no external factors/luck)

These are my goals for 2026:

Writing:

  • 4 Blogposts a month (not including goals progress checkup)
  • 12 Corruption Blogposts (1 a month)

Entrepreneur:

  • One mobile app published
  • 8 web-apps shipped

Social Media:

  • Post on Twitter everyday (once account is created and pinned blogpost published)
  • Reply or post everyday on Reddit so that I can gain 2000 karma by the end of the year. (Which according to llms, 1,000-10,000 karma, is typical of experienced users with a strong reputation)

Learning:

  • Finish TOP Foundations Course in Q1
  • TOP Fullstack JavaScript Course in Q2
  • Learn to edit videos: A blogpost about corruption, edit that video and publish it in Q1
  • Learn Romanian: Duoling everyday, and anki deck
  • Learn storytelling: Do story telling practice and read "Storyworthy" by Matthew Dicks
  • Marketing: Read 10 Marketing books focused on SAAS, digital (SEO, content marketing, social media) and analytics and metrics.

Health:

  • Floss everyday
  • Exercise 4 times a week

Other:

  • Read 60 books (re-reads are okay, as long as it hasn't been read yet in 2026)
  • Visit Italy or Greece in March/April
  • Get to 1000 rapid in Chess.com

I'll update the progress on each goal at the end of each month. Keep me accountable.
